    The Power of Intuition

Ever since we have been a child, we have been told the right thing to do. Society has planned a blueprint for our lives to follow and reach success, glory, and happiness. We have been programmed to go to school, finish college, get married, have children, and live happily ever after. Yet, this plan is not a sure proof for us to reach our happiness, purpose, and reason for being on this planet. What has been lacking is incorporating our heart’s desire which has been gifted to us ever since we were born.

Being already programmed from our own heritage and background, we enter this world. We have to navigate our lives through rational thinking and experiences to make well-thought-out decisions for ourselves. It's like going through the tidal wave of the ocean as we battle each wave while trying to stay afloat and not sink into the bottom of the ocean. I often say that with each breath you take, you unravel the truths of life as you go through your journey. The process of life for some people can be very routine and mechanical, but not for those who are conscious and aware of their guiding light or, as I call it, their own intuition.

I will not talk about the intricacies of intuition, which you can probably read on the internet. Still, instead, I would like to give you hands-on experience of intuition in my life that has helped me fight the tidal waves and finally helped me reach my heart's desire to create my clothing company, Sima Collezione. As a young girl of only 9 years of age, I was placed in a disposition to learn classical piano. This journey took most of my adolescent years. By the age of 17, I entered the University of Southern California, and by 20, I was already married. For the next 20 years, I raised my children and became a piano teacher. My rational mind was steering the wheel through those years. I tried my best to create the best life for my family, as again, this is what our preconditioned mind is supposed to do.

The true testament of my intuition started rising when at 36 years of age, I lost my good friend to ovarian cancer. Fearing that I would share the same destiny one day, my inner voice, intuition, started knocking at my inner walls, telling me to wake up. A soul awakening happened that prompted me to go on a journey of my inner consciousness.

As my intuition led the way, I was challenged to face my own demons, strengthen my weaknesses and polish my own flaws. The only way I could do this was because I solely on my own decision to listen to my inner voice guiding me the way. The journey of your own consciousness is a painful one, and it can only be cleared if you have an awareness of your own issues. This journey lasted for 14 years until my intuition guided me to go against all odds and prompted me to manifest my own heart’s desire. At 50 years of age, I pursued my dream, my vision, and my mission. I created my clothing company Sima Collezione!

With a clear mind, soul, and spirit, I have taken on the assignment of empowering women throughout the world and helping build positive consciousness through my clothing company. My vision is to help women shine their own individual beauty and inner light.

I want to help women tap into their own confidence within rather than what the superficialities of the world outside expect. Through my clothing company, I would like to help women incorporate all the positive forces of nature, such as love, compassion, kindness, peace, and charity. Through Sima Collezione, I would like to create soldiers of light until eternity!

I am truly grateful and honored to announce that Sima Collezione will be featured at the New York Fashion Week this September!

Are you a Victim or a Warrior?

Oftentimes, we live our lives taking the easy way out. We like to create stories or scenarios in our heads to justify our position on certain issues. We can have a brilliant mind to convince ourselves and the people around us about how certain reality or a truth really is. But the question that I would like to address is whether it is the truth or just fooling ourselves and the people around us!

Coming from the lineage of a Holocaust survivor, I faced my life with strength and perseverance. My grandmother was just 14 years old when she fled the persecution of Germany during World War II and came to live with her mother in Iran. She created her own life in a foreign place and lived for 30 more years even after my grandfather passed away. Not once did she ever see herself as a victim but lived her life with strength, gratitude, humility, and grace.

Life is a test, and we are challenged to face our issues daily. The only way you can pass your test and reach your potential and destiny is by being strong and facing your fears every step of the way. You have to be a soldier of light and or a warrior and fight through every inner struggle and pain to survive to manifest who you truly are and at the same time be a positive contribution to the world. If you create scenarios in your head and act as victims, you will go back to your own rabbit hole and live in your own shell of darkness. The choice is yours!

Do your part and act like a warrior rather than a victim. There is a beautiful world after the darkness and the pain you experience in life. Lead with strength and humility rather than fear and shallowness. We all have an assignment in our lives, and the only way to accomplish our mission is to battle our own demons and fight our own weaknesses. As long as you are on the journey, with hope and faith, your guiding light will lead you the way to the promised land. Trust your gut and lead with your intuition. There will always be resistance and doubt, but stay your own course and walk your own path. Believe in yourself and only yourself as you reach your destiny and full potential.

Choose a warrior rather than a victim and see how your life unfolds and how you discover your own truth!

    Faith Or Fact?

Written by: Sima Azadegan, Executive Contributor

We are told all our lives to listen to facts and follow the logic and do whatever that makes sense. We are programmed to make the smartest decisions and always try to do the right thing. We spent many years of our lives reading, researching, and educating ourselves in order to make the smartest choices for ourselves and the people around us. Yet somehow we fall short in our journey. We face obstacles, difficulties, experience pain, fear, anxiety, and much more…

The question that I want to address is whether it is smart to follow facts or follow our faith. Fact is a set of logic that we are told to learn in order to educate ourselves. Faith, on the other hand, is sacred wisdom that we are born with but that is dormant most of our lives. The fact can help us get from one point to another. Faith can help us live happier lives. The fact can help manipulate or convince a certain person or a situation. Faith can help you have everlasting peace. The fact can help you rise on the ladder of life. Faith can sustain you and give you your true heart’s desire. Which one would you choose?

Through my own experiences of life, I have come to terms that you cannot live one without the other. It is a balancing act between your mind (fact) and your heart (faith). It is a game of seesaw where you have to balance yourself in order not to go way up high and not to fall down on the ground. It is a fine line between following facts and making the right decision and yet on the other hand listening to the wisdom of your heart. It will take most of our lives to master this balance but then again this is one of the most important reasons that we are here on this earth. The intricacies between the mind and the heart or in other words, fact, and faith is an everlasting challenge in our lifetime.

Follow your own path in life. Learn to follow facts but yet be in tune with your heart’s desires as well. Educate yourself but at the same time listen to what your heart says. Do the right thing as you are told but always know what makes your heart happy.

While living in the material world, we have to follow facts, knowledge, and rules but never forget the magic of the divine that only speaks through your own heart!

    Walking Your Own Walk

How many people in the world can say that they have actually walked their own walk? We live a lifetime doing things according to culture or society expectations. Most of the time we never wake up to our own authentic self and who we truly are. Fear-based actions rule our everyday life and we find ourselves in a whirlwind of our own beliefs and thought systems. Are we really awake or are we living in our own sleep!

Last week, for the first time in my life, I walked my own walk. Being selected to feature my collection at the NYFW was a huge honor for me, but to be the designer to close the show was even a bigger victory.

As I walked the runway leading the other designers behind me, I knew for the first time that I am walking as my true authentic self. The true self that I was born into this planet. All of my old layers that had been piled on me through my childhood, adolescent, motherhood, and marital years had suddenly vanished and my true genuine self was actually reborn.

Every moment in our lifetime, we are reborn. We just have to be aware that we are true to ourselves. Given the talents and the treasures that we have, we have a mission to follow in order to make the world a better place.

The only way this is possible is through the empowerment of our own authentic selves. We have a responsibility to reach our full potential and our own destiny. Yet, even more importantly we have a responsibility to find our true selves and unravel it to the world.

So, enough of living in the shadows of our past ancestors and the cultural restrictions that we have experienced through many lifetimes. It's time to be aware of who we truly are and live the life that we have been destined to live.
